Cool Vintage Datsun Shirt I Got

Hi everyone, I thought I'd post about a T-shirt a friend spotted in the city. I figured I had to have it. It did afterall have Datsun on it.

 

I'm curious though has anyone seen one like it before? From what I can tell it's some sort of cycling jumper/jacket. My girlfriend bought it for me from a store in the city not exactly sure where it is but it's near Swanston St somewhere towards Flinders St Station.

 

I'm definately going to have to wear it while driving my 240z around . From a far it looks like I'm a Ferrari fan boy though .

 

While on topic anyone got interesting Datsun shirts?

Are you sure its Vintage? It there a Date on it, on a label anywhere?

 

I'm think somewhere in Europe they still sell Datsuns new ( they still use the Datsun brand name instead of Nissan. I saw a brochure in some foriegn language with new Nissans, badged as Datsuns).

 

Maybe its a newish shirt, and Nissan-Datsun from whatever country it is, sponsor a cycling team, hence Datsun on the shirt.

 

Of course its Just a therory, and No, I've never seen anything like it.

 

Have seen new Datsun jackets from thailand or somewhere.

I don't think it's Vintage as it seems too clean to be second hand. I think it's a copy of an old style of jacket/jumper.

 

Perhaps from the days when Datsun's were battling it out on the Rally Fields .

Yes that is a cycling shirt, Lotto is one of the big bike sponsors overseas, and the pocket across the bottom of the back is where you put food, drinks, glasses etc.

I do a bit of cycling, I'll have to look out for one

Don't be shy Smartass we know you like it. :wink: I've seen this one before, I remember thinking, Gav you should get a suit made out of that material. Just think how cool you would look wearing it at the Nationals next year!
