Riceburner Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I've just bought a scorcher electronic dizzy and am getting it recurved. Does anyone no the max advance for an l28, 72 deg cam, 8.6 comp ratio? I read 38deg, Is that ok? :-\ Quote
C.A.R. Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 That'll be fine. Just make sure you run PULP fuel... Quote
Riceburner Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Thanks Lurch. Seeing as I'm on a roll... I did some reading in an old book I have and it suggests the following "rework dizzy to include 10-11 deg advance in the dizzy (20-22 in the engine) starting at 1200rpm and all in at 2400rpm, no more than 38deg when all in" I will run 15deg static. Sound correct still Quote
PZG302 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Off the top of my head, that's about what mine runs, set up by the Z shop about 5 years ago and still going strong in the race car. Quote
