COLOUR - It's always the hardest choice..

Hey all,

 

Been talking with some fellow ACT Z members about places around town to get my '79 280ZX resprayed and it looks all sorted (almost).

 

But now comes the hard part!! WHAT COLOUR DO I CHOOSE?

 

I want to buy the paint myself, it's usually cheaper that way.. So opinions/thoughts on what you think looks good (maybe even a pic to emphasise a point)!

Hmm, 280zx, you could always go champain, or you can't go wrong with white.

Paint it with a paint ball gun, multi coloured bullets.

 

I like the colour Rev has painted his car. Mustang Orange is another colour I like.

 

In all seriousness.

Colour is a personal choice, one persons preference will not please everyone, just look in the gallery or even just random car pics in google. You will find something you like.

 

If you want to stick original, Choose your favourite original colour that the 280ZX came in.

I wanna go orange, but... my mate has an orange 1200, which i LOVE by the way.. I wanna get two of them, rig them up with ropes.. so i can put one foot in each and ride them like skates down the highway   but back to my original point - I'll look like a gigantic strap if i do..

Mint Julip out of the the 70's... the holden color chart ... the contrast between the green and a satin black engine bay with a bunch of polished Alloy is Grrrrrrrrr , nice

I personally love the blue... wondering if anybody recognises the colour and could give me the proper name or the reference #??

 

my stripe would be thicker - the width of the raised bonnet (this is also a pic of a 260z, my car being a 280zx).. and no pinstripe down the side (still undecided) and no white block on the bottom of the doors..
