mikuni solex tripples advice?

I'm looking at getting some tripples for my L24 240z but I'm unsure what to get,  brand and size wise, I found these and they look pretty tasty.

Those are Solex/Mikuni's made for Toyota only parts are different to the normal Mikuni PHH carbs they are known as the Type-S-5 and are 40mm carb.

 

If I was looking for Mikuni's I would look for 3 x N44PHH with the 5 screws on top aka Type 4 (and one day I will get some when I start looking )

Mossy, thanks for posting the pic, Ive got the prized FET manifold (waiting to go on) but thats the first time Ive seen a pic of one all bolted up..

Yeah the FET looks nice doesn't it, I was pretty keen on buying these but was unsure if they'd work on the Z even though the seller pulled them off his Z but there sold now anyway

I sourced mine from Wolf Creek racing in the US, with the Aussie Dollar at 92 cents you should be able to land a good set of triple 44's on a manifold with linkages for around $750 - $800 USD depending opun what they have in stock.

Guys........go here for the prices (I paid $750 usd for mine in July 2008 so prices may have moved depending upon  availability)

 

Be wary of the "completely rebuilt" as mine did require some further cleaning and gaskets on closer inspection and testing of the accelerator pumps -so be preparred to strip them down and inspect.
