hey i did look at those but i was wondering if i could get some up to date photos? and how many ks are on the engine and the actual car?

Cheers Jackson

The car hasn't changed since any of those pics were taken as I have only done 2500km in the car since Feb 2009 and 1600kms of that was in one week on the Tassie trip taken in Feb this year. If you email me I can send you all the pics I have plus any area's  that I think you should know about. Odom shows 86240kms.

Simon I get the feeling you haven't taken the Zed quite far enough into the next stage to absorb your complete satisfaction, passion and performance in owning a classic Zed, thus your parting with the car....may I say so prematurely!! You are changing cars midstream, you will be dissappointed?

By the way your color combo of your car is fabulous I can remember them in awe like that when they were new in 1977 not many about like that.

I honestly think the 2+2 is a sleeper and will probably come back and bite you :'( Lynton

Yes I would agree totally on all points you raise. BUT I could say that about the 12 x 1600's, 1200 ute & coupe and the various other cars that I have owned and will own in the future. I guess I just get bored very easily and get more joy out of working on them more than the occasional drive on sunny days.

I'm local to simon and i've seen and been driven in his car he's done all the right things with this car His work and attention to detail are Top Notch. I went view his car before he took delivery and the gentleman said he could have sold it a Dozen times plus all Simon's work has been documented here.

This is a great car if you want to just get in and drive it or an excellent base for modification (i like a good set of triples myself). Can't go wrong with this one.

Thanks would it be good as a daily driver? Because that is what im looking at it for, because its going to be my first, im not thinking about modifications yet, but having a good base is good. Is there anything 'wrong' with the car at all? Without having bias haha I know it is hard.

Depends what you call wrong. The car was painted about 8yrs ago and it is showing it's age with a bit of crows feet on the roof, but to me that was good cause I couldn't handle driving a car every day and on club runs with an brand new paint job that I would be terrified of getting stone chips and dents in. There is a couple of small dents on Rh side where a radiator fell against it in the shed. >:(

Parts replaced last year (1700kms ago) are:

Uni joint LH half shaft, Pedal pad rubbers, Tyres new 195/70R14 front & 215/65R14 rear 70%, both ball joints, Front brake pads, Sway bar rubbers, Clutch, Timing gear, Extractors, Dizzy cap & rotor, Wet leg struts rebuilt and new King springs, H4 Head light globes fitted and new door seals.

As well as removing and detailing the front and rear suspension. Interior is very good.

Unfortunately I have a tendency to fiddle with my computer and now I can't upload photo from my phone or camera. Idiot.

Theres no such thing as a car that never breaks down; failures can and will happen. So don't stress if there is anything wrong with it... Preventitive maintanence...

It seems that the people that are keen are all interstate, so to save on the haggling I offer this.

The cars rego is up on June 5 and if you are interstate then you would not be needing the rego anyway so if you want the car with no reg. or Vic RWC then the price is $7800 no offers. A Vicroads permit is only about $48 to drive it home and with the price of plane tickets it makes it very cheap.
