RB30 clutch on to L28?

Hi Guys

 

I have a r31 skyline that is running an RB30 with XR6 turbo setup.. it has an excedy cluth and heavy duty pressure plate that has proven to be very good and i was wondering if it would fit onto the L28 in my 260z?

I assume due the Ford XR6 Turbo box? But a RB clutch will work on a L28 with the correct flywheel - I know as I had (when I was running a L6) an RB flywheel and clutch on the back of my L28.

i shouldnt have confused the situation by mentioning the XR6 turbo (turbo only and ancillaries) i have the standard r31 five speed box and flywheel.

If the L28 flywheel is a 240mm diameter one it should.  Most the RB20DET clutch kit has the same part numbers as a Patrol with a L28 depending on manufacturer.....

yes will fit,

as will most other sr, rbs and of the like through 1970-94 clutch plates, some with small mods.

rb & sr bolt PCD is 2mm different, but can easilly be used anyhow. ie currently useing an rb30 turbo clutch on an sr20de+t, torquey motor 10 psi on an na ening, bloody steam train down low.....
