hi all

 

some of you know this and same dont

 

i bought a 260z 2 seater from adeilade and will be doing a full rebuild with a rb 26 motor.

 

my question to all the members is

1 should i rego the car now in NSW ( requires a blue slip)

2 take it off the road and start my rebuild now and when completed get blue slip and engineeers cert

 

please help a confuse zed owner

Depends if you have all the parts to do the conversion or just started now. If you don't, I'd get it registered and drive and enjoy and go for the odd club event while you collect everything you need then pull it off the road. If it won't cost much more, that would be the way to go IMO.

its not as easy in nsw, but having a registered car while doing the rebuild can help out greatly when it comes to moving the car around to workshops, road testing ect.

Also, its less of a headache when it comes to finally engineering and regoing the whole package.
