Just curious which datsun Zeds had bullbars because there is one around my place with one but tbh i have seen so many pics of Zeds and none of them have one, ive been meaning to go see the one around my place but i haven't been bothered and whenever i pass it i try and see which model it is and i think its a 280z because of its hood scoops but not sure.

So which Zed models had bullbars?

some background: its been sitting there for over 10 years, before i moved here but i have never been up  close to it just seen it while driving (passed it for most of those years going to school), i will try and take a couple of pics of it tomorrow.

My old 73 240z had a nudge bar on it. I'm fairly certain it was a dealer fitted option and not a standard factory thing. I don't have a pic handy since it was taken before digital cameras and its at home in Australia. I guess the benefit is it protects the Z's soft nose from damage. Especially the bonnet that tends to bow in an accident.

Nissan Japan made them for the East African Safari cars

Thought some pics from the Zama wharehouse showed some with the bars, also had high mounted lights at base of windscreens.

I've got some in car audio recordinds of Shekar Mehta/Roger Bonnhome in one of the works Zeds at 1973 Southern Cross rally, built 240 motors sounded so very snarly back then.

All nudge bars were fitted as after market accessory for 240z/260z/280zx/300zx's.

But bull bars were fitted in Japan for East African Safari but that's all I know Lynton 8)
