S30Mike Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 what model came with an "original" electronic fuel pump? Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Stick with the mech one - they are more reliable. Quote
nedloh312 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 From my understanding, there is a temp gauge in the engine that only turns the elec fuel pump on when the engien is cold and then after that, the mechanical fuel pump takes over? That means you would need more than just the elec fuel pumpI may be wrong but that's what i have been lead to believe... Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted August 5, 2009 Moderators Posted August 5, 2009 Theres only one pump in the zed; either electric or mechanical. they did have cut off solenoids for a reason people still argue about... Quote
chris240 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 while were on the subject...can a standard mech pump supply enough PSI to run tripples ? from memory I think tripples webers etc need 2.5-3.0 psi. Quote
twosixty Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 i think 75 onwards My 75 did not have an electric pump, nor the wiring etc. Quote

About 10 years ago I ran triple 40mm Dell's with a standard elec 260 pump with no issues. Quote
modular9 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Running a vl commodore fuel pump on my l28 + triple dellortos + regulator ( 3.0 psi ) + larger fuel lines ( still thinking EFI/turbo/ITB/Rotary/BMC a series engine/steam ) 50$ at the wreckers and it is noiseless. Fits in the wee little cradle at the rear of the car no worries. The holley blue is retired! Quote
