Moderators Zedman240® Posted June 28, 2009 Moderators Posted June 28, 2009 Good news....I found a rod for you. If you want to PM me your details, and I can post it to you... Quote
fufu Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 from the images above, i think his missing 2 rods. The one parallel to the firewall and the one that connects that parallel rod to the carbies. Quote
S30Mike Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 yeah looks like the Wood stick in there is replacing the top of the linkages, and the cable tie is actually taking the place of the cross rod. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted June 29, 2009 Moderators Posted June 29, 2009 You are right there...missed that huge black cable tie across the firewall! I'm sure I have a spare rod for that too.. Picked up a box of spares from Mr Green and I think there was one in there. Quote

. Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Mate that is bush engineeering at its best. That reminds me. I was driving home from Hervey Bay to Brisbane last night (about 3.5 hours). My headlights only lasted the first 15 minutes. I had perfect high beam but no low beam. I realised that one circuit of the relay was bung so I unscrewed the two output wires and swapped them over. Hey presto now I have low beam but no high beam but at least that got me home. I just had to get used to seeing the high beam indicator on the dash all the way. Quote
