zzzzed Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 good luck mate i know you can get them from America but thats not much use to us ozzys I had mine recovered for around $500 and it looks just like new Quote
Taz Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 yeah im pretty annoyed, was about to get it painted and all tomorrow, however i dont want to waste my money if the gauges dont fit perfect anyway Quote
JP Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I have a reskinned dash I bought from these forums. My car is a long way from finished due to various commitments so if you are willing to pay what I paid for it ($300) then I dont mind parting with it. Quote
Lynton Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Get your dash re-skinned definetly the best way to go and take an air vent and a couple of instrument guages with you so the diameter is correct when they vacuum form the new polurethane and vinyl finish. Mine was perfect! Lynton Quote
Taz Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 pm sent to Jp. id have mine reskinned but im in hobart and cant find anywhere locally that is worth it for the price, its cheaper to buy a new one. ridiculous really. Quote
Taz Posted May 4, 2009 Author Posted May 4, 2009 is the 240 dash different then a 75 260 2+2 z? Quote

How did you try to repair it??? maybe try using some filler where the gaps are, or fibreglass??? Quote
RB30X Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 is the 240 dash different then a 75 260 2+2 z? So top is 240 and lower is 260?? Can someone explain this to a pleb please? So no 240's, 60's or 80's dash suits each other? What about gauges, are they interchangable if the dash's arn't. Quote
xa1973 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Why not buy a FG one from Alfa Motorsports, save yourself the headache....... Quote

Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 5, 2009 Moderators Posted May 5, 2009 You'll find gauges look similar at the front but are held in the dashboard differently; 240 ones have a little "L" shaped bracket screwed in and the 260's have a metal strap dipped in rubber to hold in the gauge. Plus have different plugs.. Speedo / tacho's might be interchangeable...never tried! Quote
zzzzed Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 i have 240z gauges in y 260z the fit in no probs. I just changed the brackets and plugs Quote
JP Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Sorry the pics arent the best, but the dash is at the very back of my garage. The finish is quite good but not perfect, which is the only reason I am considering selling it. Quote
