Jap Style Fender Mirrors

Hi All .. I'm looking for a set of japanese style fender mirrors for my 432 project.

Please let me know if you have a set or where I might find some, preferably not chromed as they will be painted.

ebay US is probably the easiest as they come up for sale from time to time, or yahoo japan using someone like import monster to buy them for u. i'd expect to pay around $400-500 for a pair if they are new

the chrome ones have a shorter stalk than the black ones (black are the orginal 240z ones)

I remember not so long ago you could buy these quite cheap....

 

Ive even seen them swapped for door mount units..

Adding to this thread same topic though.

 

I rang Nissan this morning to enquire about some black fender mirrors, and gave them following part numbers

96301-E4100 &

96302-E4100

 

The guy told me that the first part number was still in production but the second one wasn't, can anyone tell which is left and which is right?

 

For those curious he quoted roughly $220 incl. from Japan

The chrome ones you see on S30's sometimes are off the 510 Bluebird. The correct S30 ones are the black ones. They are a little taller than the chrome ones.

The guy didn't give me a description he just said mirrors... So not sure if they are the black ones or not. I dont understand why they would still make the right one and not the left.

If you told him you wanted 240z ones, then they are probably the black ones.

yeah same story i got given when i got my 240z fender mirrors.

 

though he did order i think the left one from japan even though it was no longer stocked. lucky me i did end up getting it after a week.

 

so possibly got the last set of the 240z fender mirrors. so try and order the one that is no longer stocked or in production. who knows maybe there is one hiding somewhere in nissan japan spare parts dealer.

 

price is steep but still I think its worth it.

I'll compare both of mine to see the difference, I have an old set of black which came with the car. I've already installed the new chrome ones onto the car.

sorry its not in decent condition. The rod is quite rusted and I've snapped off one of the mirrors locking mechanism. The mirrors themselves are in tact.

 

Last time I checked they were the same size as the chrome mirrors I bought from datsun spirit.
