I am debating what rims to use.

I am thinking of modifying the standard 280ZX rim like in the pics I photochoped below,

 

I have a yellow 240Z and am looking for a black look rim.

 

Any thoughts or other cheap options? I just bought some brand new tyres to suit the standard rims so I want to wear these out first.

 

I also have standard 260Z 2+2 rims and some (jelly bean / kidney) rims I can use.

If I had to choose one of those I would go with your black painted option.

The kidney ones are the best period mags you can fit; polished up they look great! Almost every early pic of a 240Z have those wheels fitted.

I have the 260z 2+2 mags ( cos i have a 260z 2+2 ) and have the inserts painted black

Bad pic I know but it is funny when you own the car you hardly take pics of 'em ... Anyway it is another option.

 

I'd go for a time-attack volk style myself all black with the colour of your car on the extreme outter part of the rim. But then i like that whole JDM time attack culture.
