sexual_sushi Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Hi all, I have a set of tripple dellortos with manifold for sale. They are very clean and have new gaskets throughout. They also come with linkages (previous owner said they aren't pretty but they will work on a z engine, see pics), carb balancing tool and a heap of documentation and old gaskets. I bought these from the states with the intention of polishing them and making a little profit however I now need money to fix a few things on my cars. I will only put these up for sale for a week or so as I would rather polish them and make a little money. They will need to be tightened and tuned however they should be in complete working order. $850 firm. Pickup available from inner city Brisbane. Can post at buyers expense. Quote

Toecutter Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Sushi, where did you buy those filters from? Sulio Quote
Mr240z Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Hey sulio pretty sure there RAM flows ,they came from a company called LYNX automotive http://www.lynxcorp.com.au/main.php?idx=home Quote
Toecutter Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 yer thought they were Ram Flos, I had a pair on my SU's. Just was'nt sure where to buy em. Not sure wether to go for them (they look nice) or a cold air intake box with a K&N filter with all these guys talking of the improved performance they're getting with em. Sulio Quote
Glen Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Sulio, im not going to use the bird nests, they might look nice but getting the right length air horn is more important to me, also you get a better induction sound with air horns. oh and happy birthday Sulio GT240Z my mate is still after a set aswell Quote

Funny you should mention the horns as I thoought these might go over the top of them but your right I don't think there is room from memory. Yer definatley would'nt want to get rid of the air horns as apparently they do impact on air velocity into the carb. Rob Creightons got a really nice FG box to fit over Webbers or Dells. It lookes factory with Z SPORT or NISSAN SPORT on the side of it and you can run a K&N filter out front with it. I've been trying to find out where I can source one for ages. I believe Gavin Strongman was selling them at one stage. I'll persist and post info when I eventually find/buy one. Sulio Quote
Glen Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 i will get len brennan to fab one up (air box) for me, when its done you should check it out as all his work is A1 and if you heard the induction he gets on his car it's awesome. Quote
Toecutter Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Yer I've seen the perspex one he has on the replica car, it did sound good. Quote
Glen Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 My my mate got a pair of dellortos the other day, they have DHLA40 F Could anyone expalin what the "F" means please. He needs one more carb and does it have to have "F" at the end. cheers glen. Quote
Glen Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Ok "F" stands for emmision as so is "G", is it possible to run 2 matching pairs and one with say a "G"? Quote
Scoota G Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I run a matching set (2) with a "G" Dellorto in the center. Not causing me any problems. Quote
Toecutter Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Glen if you need any more carbs contact the Alfa guy on e-bay. From memory hois e-bay seller name is something like Alfa1750. He has been in the game for ages with excellent feedback from other Z sites. He lives in Itally and has a huge assotion of parts and Dells & Webbers, (mainly Dells though). He overhauls and sets each set that go out. Serial numbers are matched very closely so all three are made roughly same time. From memory his real name is Gabriele. His a good bloke to deal with re time, thourough packaging and price. I paid $560 for carbs (3 x DHLA40's) delieverd to my door. They work greatwith float levels macthed, all new kits throughout and all screw adjustments and butterflies etc in very nice condition. It appears he replaces any screw that looks bad. Anyhow after paying that price it does still end up to about $1300 once you get the other bits but at least they are in overhauled condition and ready to go for years to come. Good Luck! Sulio Quote
