Aaron Neubauer Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 It was the fast fours and rotary nationals. The sport compact class was running and we had three cars entered. Found this up the back And this was there Quote
stevo_gj Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 thread resurrect! I saw that dark green 260z in the valley the other night, I think its running an RB26? Not sure if the owner is on these forums but I waved as he roared off when the lights when green. Quote
Hunter Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I saw a dark green RB26 pwered 260Z at a Motor Show in Brisbane. It looked a more of a British racing green, and I can't remember the red seat, but it was years ago. I will see if I can salvage the pictures off my old phone. Quote
zedevan Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 http://autospeed.com/cms/A_2655/article.html ? it looks like the red seat has been in there since atleast 2005, its the same colour my 260z is, if only the engine was the same...lol Quote
Hunter Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 After reading that article, It may well be the 260Z I seen at the motor show. The show was about three years back and the engine bay and interior looked more polished. I remember the car had a air to water intercooler, a fairly rare thing in zeds I have seen. Also the top engine brace is interesting. Quote
Cdr Zero Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 John recognised the limits of the factory engine mounting arrangement and added an upper engine brace to keep everything sitting where it should. Looks like a well set-up car. Quote
chris240 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 haar, that skyline was on Aussie Top Gear last night...it killed the 911 porsche around the track by 2 seconds, and 3-4 other cars as well. Quote

That it did! This Zed is in Toowoomba and I assume now owned by a local steering and suspension shop. I see it often when I go visit my mate's workshop which is two shes up from the shop who owns it. All they do is start it up, move it into the carpark and in the afternoon put it back in the shop. Its the worst form of Zed abuse, makes me sad. http://autospeed.com/cms/A_2815/article.html Quote
