260z horn button

Trying to get my standard steering wheel horn to work but it wont. Is there any thing missing out of the horn button?? Other wheels work fine.

Ok im starting to think this forum is not for me anymore.... with the latest topics being cyclists with quad envy to bbq's with gay skirt steak that isnt going on the barby and now your horn wont work...... wtf???

And btw my original horn button isnt working either..... maybe its the contacts

Peter t, when you say standard steering wheel, do you mean the std 260Z wheel (I think it appears so from the photo). The horn system & guts are completely different between the 240 & 260 wheels, but both types use a spring, however, are different sizes.

Yep you are right. The 240 and260/280 are different. Looks like I am missing a spring inside a plastic tube. Off to Bunnings to get some tomorrow.
