Does Les Collins do this, if so what's involved and $. Basically a strong as possible job is required.

It's going behind a SR20DET, at this stage I'm costing a possible circuit toy project for a friend, the idea is to not go crazy with power which would require upgrades in several areas including a different, heavier box.  A nicely balanced powertrain is the aim. So at this stage all that's required is a ball park price and power capability estimate plus the cost of a suitable core if applicable.

So the vehicle is going to be a S13/S14/S15?

Just spend the $500 to $600 on a good 2nd hand unit and the std S13/S14 71C box will be fine.
Bearings kit ($250.00) and syncro rings (around $150ea) are cheap enough if you want to give it a freshen up.

Gear sets with better ratios are available from Kameari: https://www.rhdjapan.com/kameari-super-close-gear-set-71c-s13.html

If you are interested in getting Les to do the work, shoot him an email: http://www.lescollinsracing.com/contact

Pic of Kameari gear set below, current price from RHD is $1,631.00 ex Japan. Are the gears wider than OE? Any other 'strong box' input welcome.

No - they are the same width. Ratio's are different.

The next upgrade over a 71C box is to convert to the much larger R33 turbo / Z32 turbo / VL Turbo MX7
This requires a cut and shut bell-housing at a minimum to mate to the SR20. I'm not sure on what else needs doing for this conversion.

My philosophy when doing something like this is to be informed of all possible upgrades and then decide which ones are worth doing , given the application and anticipated use.

And that's a good philosophy to have. All too often people just jump straight to "biggest / strongest /  bestest" without considering whether it is actually "best for purpose"
