Roady Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Hey everyone just wondering what people have used as a fuel tank vent hose (from the tank to the fuel filler)... I've got the tank out and just as a matter of course, replacing the hoses. As it's a larger size than the fuel lines themselves just wondering if it's a simple trip to supercheap etc? cheers Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted June 26, 2018 Moderators Posted June 26, 2018 Hi you need to use a fuel rated hose. If Supercheap don’t have any big enough try a Truck Parts supplier. Cheers PB Quote
ScottyD Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 (edited) I replaced a section of my vent hose ( the bends near the tank ) due to splitting, I could not find the same size hose with bends so I went to Pirtek and got the same diameter hose, joiners and brass bends to suit. d3c0y Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I used -10 braided 200 series aeroflow hose, fits well. Quote
Roady Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 Scotty D, can I confirm in the photo you have posted, that the top right corner is the spare wheel well and that the hose exits on the left and comes back into the car to the fuel filler hose? As I'm measuring everything up it all seems very tight (even using the actual OEM hose) to make this all fit properly. I'm sure it will just take a bit of tinkering but the more info the better. cheers Jason Quote
ScottyD Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 (edited) Hi Jason, yes that’s correct it exits the tank and heads towards the wheel well then does a u turn back towards the fuel filler then through the hole in the floor. I had to loosen my tank to replace the hose, limited room to move. Edited July 15, 2018 by ScottyD Quote
Roady Posted July 16, 2018 Author Posted July 16, 2018 Thanks ScottyD - that's great info and photos. Really appreciate the effort. Jason Quote
