Administrators gav240z Posted May 13, 2008 Administrators Posted May 13, 2008 Nice clean and original looking Z. Not fond of the wheels, but the rest looks very clean and original. http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/DATSUN/240Z/details.aspx?__sid=119326291481&Cr=4&__No=20&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32%7C1%7C%7CpCar_ImageCount_Int32%7C1%7C%7CpCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime%7C1&distance=25&silo=1003&seot=0&__Nne=20&State=All%20States&R=5691221&__N=4294966615%200%20834%20285%20257&Make=DATSUN&state_id=0&trecs=52 Anyone seen it yet? NZeder Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I agree not that keen on the wheels but a very tidy and original looking car. Not too many left with the tan interior these days most change that over. On interior I have now seen/heard of 3 240z here in NZ that were write with red interior now that is not that common. One of the good things about that brown car is the fact that it is brown (don't laugh) my panel beater told me if you are looking for a classic car to keep purchase one that was originally a dark colour as they don't rust as bad as the lighter coloured cars (he has restored many cars from Aston Martin's, Porsche's, many of the Italian marque's and some of the other British cars that some call classics) Quote
JP240z Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Would be surpirised if he got that price, considering what I sold mine for.. That engine looks as though it hasnt been restored with the rest of the car, although the interior does look neat. Quote

I haven't seen the car so can't say for sure, but buying a car like this as oppose to a rust bucket will save you heaps. Sometimes though you just have to be patient and lucky. The right buyer isn't always ready. Part of me would like to see the car achieve asking price and part of me hopes 240z prices will stay down a little while longer . Quote
JP240z Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Yeah its true you hae to find the right buyer, but we can't always wait with our zeds on the market for 12 months waiting for the right buyer to come along.. All im saying is that from my perspective as a recent seller, people arnt even prepared to pay that much for a car that has been restored back to original. And it looks as though that car still has a little mechanical restoration to come. Quote
