I spotted this pic on another forum, it's a Jaeco from a early TA sillycar, anyone know if the diameter is the same ? Jeez it looks close..post-100360-0-11567900-1512167775_thumb.jpg

Even if you could swap the guts out, it's likely to suffer the same Jeco problems as the S30Z ones.

 

Jeco made a number of automotive clocks for Japanese cars over the years. If you look on eBay under the name Jeco you'll see a few.

I have had sucess by swapping the guts from KA series Ford Laser (1981 or so)

It is a square clock a bit bigger than a box of matches.

The hands are a little shorter, but close enough for me.
