Does such a thing exist for a 2 + 2 ? If so, does anyone have a spare they would like to sell. If one does exist, can someone post a picture of the pouch and contents ?

theres something that has been bothering me about my 2+2 aswell did they come out with a jack and if so where is it located.

Mine has an aftermarket pouch which clamps under the carpet on the left hand side as you are looking into the boot. Think this is where original lived anyway. I'll look at the Nissan parts list tonight should have it in there.

 

Jack is on floor in front of rear driver side seat. You should have a bracket which it extends out against to hold it in place.

The jack also comes with its own plastic cover.

 

The origional tool kit in my 74 2+2 I think is in the boot and had:

1 * Jack handle

1 * Wheel brace

1 * Pliers

1 * 10/12mm open ender

 

Mine still had a Nissan parts list which detailed teh above which I think I have lost :'(

Actually there should be 2 x double open-ended spanners, & a reversible black-handled screw driver (phillips one end, flat the other), as well as the pliers & wheel brace, all in a black vinyl pouch, if my '74 is correct. The tools are probably common across all the Datsun models in the '70's, & look pretty basic & nasty. Most items have 'Nissan' cast into them.

Mine's a 2-seater 260, so the tool kit lives in one of the storage bins along with the jack (it all just fits). Whereas the 2+2 has the jack stored on the passenger area floor with a clip-on plastic cover, self-clamped against a metal bracket.
