gilltech Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 It's not hard and doesn't take long to take it apart and paint strip it to bare metal. Any surface rust on the slats can be removed/polished off with fine wet'n'dry. The weak parts are the aluminium uprights, they are soft and easily twisted. I wouldn't blast it with anything except glass bead - because of the aluminium. Quote
zeds4ever Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I found that a soft to medium wire wheel on the bench grinder worked fine for me , just don't get to heavy handed with it tho . Treat it as Giltech suggests then etch prime plus a fine coat of spray putty should bring them up pretty good . Time & patience works wonders . Regards : Alan . Quote
