cruzer Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 (edited) Hi all, So I'm in the market for a transmission mount for 260z (2seater) with L26. OEM Part #: 11320-N3000 Called my local Nissan dealer the they quoted me a whopping $195 and with a bit of haggling, got it down to $175. Before committing to buying the item, looked up the part online which allowed me to cross reference the part with after market suppliers http://www.showmetheparts.com/catalog.html Aftermarket Part #: EM-2741 made by Westar Aftermarket Part #: DEA A2741 made by DEA? Quick check on eBay & Rockauto and can get the part for half of the dealer price or less. As the car will be barely driven, this looks like a viable choice being well aware of the quality and durability of the original OEM product. My question is has anyone used this aftermarket part from this manufacturer? Edited June 28, 2017 by cruzer Quote
AndBir Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Like you I was quoted $176.73 for the transmission mount supplied ex Japan by a Aus Nissan dealer, not sure about the aftermarket ones so will probably go with the Nissan part (along with other parts I need - to get the postage down per unit) from the USA. dat2kman Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I treid getting old ones remanufactured, but the cost to do so, at around $140-150 per item, and, that they were not "genuine original" along with the Datsun owner syndrome of short arms and deep pockets, negated the whole thing. Was also doing diff and engine mounts,,,, Just buy the ones at $175, maybe cheaper in US, but you'll get a postage charge surprise. Quote
AndBir Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Yep, cheaper in the US. As I was also replacing other mounts it is cheaper by around $260 to order from the US (I used https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/) andafter the AUD$100 shipping cost you are $160 better off. Shipping time is 3 weeks (if you use the base shipping price) which is a similar time for Nissan Aust. to supply ex Japan. Quote
