260DET
Why are you selling your dream engine, not going soft are you Richard Jnr
zed74
No Richard SNR - just need to rationalize what I have sitting around... Since I bought the very clean road going green 240z - something has gotta give! Blue tarmac zed will eventually have to go and I will then concentrate on my 2 x green 240z's...one track & one road I don't have unlimited funds or sponsors

zed74
Hopefully details/photos on Wednesday 26/4/17 - sorry for the stuff around but please appreciate without some photos & specs - no one knows what they are getting! Original engine builder couldn't recall exact specs - so tappet cover/sump will be removed to verify I have kept a bit of a running list of who contacted me first etc. - so I can prioritise who has first, second option etc. Thought it is only fair based on my sketchy list regarding engine specs... dat2kman
2009 to 2011 hey! That'd be that QR Race meeting, and a few Lakesides and Morgan Parks! This the motor my stocko L28 with the 1.5mm extra bore only, sucking through a single 50mm butterfly, would leave in its wake,,,,,,,? I musta had 250 neddies! ,,,, seriously, Richard's truck motor does go well, and built by same bloke that did my motors, to my recipe! zed74
Hey Jason, Been a while since we caught up...bit harder now your not a local! Any Zed storage at your old place This stroker is the one Simon built with my brand new LD28 stroker crank. John Hill at JHH did head work/machining. It last ran in Greg's car at eastern creek meeting. Then we ran into James Flett & he built our Tarmac motors under 3 litre. zed74
Ok - I have some photo's to put up of the Stroker engine (tappet cover/Sump removed for condition/spec purposes) Specifications as follows: Just under 3.1 Litre L Series Stroker with lightened/knife edged LD28 crank (NOS V07) N42 modified head by JHH c/w stainless oversized valves, Brass guides etc 0.500 lift profile camshaft L28 F54 block bored out to 89mm (approx. 10 blocks sonic tested before one was found to be suitable) Standard Rods with Cast KA24 89mm pistons All internal components fully balanced prior to final assembly Inside Block has deburred to remove any potential for loose casting flash etc. Modified sump internals Ross Tuffbond Harmonic Balancer Lightened steel flywheel with HD Clutch/Pressure plate assembly Engine can be inspected in Sydney at present by arrangement only - please PM for details This motor based on the above specs should be considered as a Hot street motor - rather than a "race engine". Great solid fresh package for zed or other L Series powered Nissan/Datsuns Still chasing the dyno sheet from Motec Qld who setup engine with EFI/Motec induction - records available but its back in 2010 and agent is super busy and may need some solid incentive to provide
zed74
UPDATE Stroker motor SOLD pending payment next week. I have decided to keep the EFI Injection setup for my current motor. For the record - 3 or 4 people were serious in making offers & I did carefully note who made contact first to be fair to all concerned. I wasn't after the highest price for the stroker engine - just a fair price. I think a bidding war would have left a sour taste for those involved. At this point the motor has been sold to the person who was first in line. Edited April 30, 2017 by zed74
