Cliff Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Can anyone recommend someone to do bodywork on my 240? I live in SEQ. Car stripped to nothing and some work done but my work has me busier than a wall builder in southern America. Want someone honest that does good work and not make me touch my toes everyday. Thanks in advance. Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 http://www.gasolinealley.com.au/<-- Probably your best bet. Unless you want to make it a roller again & send it to Paul @ C&CC in SA, or Scoota in Ballarat, or myself @ CAF down here in Vic. Quote
PZG302 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Yep I would recommend the boys at Gasoline Alley, they have my charger there and have done a respray on my old MX5 and did some work on my old 240 race car. They have a Zed in as a long term restoration project at the moment and have done work on other Zeds as well. They aren't the cheapest, but the job is done right. The shop is pretty full at the moment, but would be worth a call to see if they could fit you in. Also, the bookface page shows a little more of what they can do: https://www.facebook.com/Gasoline-Alley-190255934432909/ Quote
dat2kman Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Another bloke, used by quite a number of Qld z guys, is Mal Gay, calls himself GayBuilt. Very cluey guy, done plenty of rally, race and resto work, good painter. Gaso Alley is good, but dont expect it in a hurry Another mob is Semco, in Kenworth Place Brendale, they do a lot of full vehicle resto, and can do quick turnaround. Have used them a couple times, car has been in/out within a week, for body/frame straightening, welding, and otyer bits. Quote
Cliff Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Thanks guys. Yes I know someone who went to Gas Alley and well, not for me. I have phoned around as above but everyone appears busy. Hmmmm. Quote
Kirby Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Check out rust rat in Yatala. They are currently chipping away at my shell. You can see the pictures of thier work on thier website. Very reasonable in price imo, they are always busy but go chat to Richard might be able to help. Quote
