Hey

Just under mine now. About 5mm between the top of the steering rack bracket and the lowest edge of the sump. The rest of the sump angles upward away from the rack

Hey mate

Sorry but i should have been more specific. But im chasing the measurement from the center of the sump to the rack itself not that bracket. Like in the center of the photo ive attached.

Thanks Heaps. Matt

Haha. Thought i would get asked that. I build new engine mounts and modified the crossmember to go with it. I decided to move the engine back about 3 inches but then needed to know how much sump clearance there should be as i never had a standard configuration to measure off it aslo doubled as a measurement to make sure i have the engine at the hieght. thus the reason for this post. In the photos the crossmember isnt finished ive still got to gusset and finish off some welding but should be enough to answer your question hopefully.

Thanks heaps

Cool.

As a guide, engineers look for a minimum of half inch (13mm) clearance in these sort of areas.
