Cozza Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Great vid. That looked like a heap of fun. Overtaking the Porsche on the outside of T1 in the wet. Whew, I'm sure you had some sweaty palms. Thanks for uploading. Mick Quote
dat2kman Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 In the wet, its often wiser to NOT be on the "racing line"!loved the mve on Morgan, into 5 on lap 1! Be fun if every race was wet, the Z doesn't mind a bit of oppy locky! ( unlike the Germans,,,,) Yes the brakes drove me nuts as well, often! Pete Lang would lose pedal into T4, i'd lose it into T2. T1 is just more a "settling" dab Quote
260DET Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 (edited) I'm not familiar with the twin master cylinder setup but with the stock setup it's essential to brace the MC to the strut tower. The S30 firewall flexes like crazy when pushing hard on the brake pedal which loses some effective brake travel right there. And that's with power brakes reducing pedal effort. Being controversial again, I do question the use of separate MC's for a S30, with mine using the stock power brake system and a proportioning valve in the rear circuit replacing the stock valve there was never any problem as far as correct functioning goes at all. Heaps of pedal feel too because there was no hard pushing on the pedal required and so modulating was easy. Of course the vacuum unit has to be set up properly, no on/off nonsense.
