Toecutter Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Unique job and I reckon it works on this car. What do you think! http://au.youtube.com/user/coyotegary Sulio Quote
Glen Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 What do i think, i think if that guy wants a cobra then he should go buy one. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 23, 2008 Moderators Posted March 23, 2008 The cobra front end does nothing for me, the tail lights are bearable.. If you can see the youtube video where he does a "walkaround" of his car, he has done some good mods. Almost a Arizona Z car catalogue car! The hatch has been converted to be like a RX7, single Holley carb (why??) and that Cobra front end. Reminds me of a black MX5 around Southland shopping center with the same conversion....yuk! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 23, 2008 Administrators Posted March 23, 2008 Hey Guys, I was gonna post this car a while ago. I even thought about doing a feature article, but I want more Aussie cars as features so I'm trying to hold off featuring US based cars (where I can). Anyway I actually think its pretty cool looking. Its definitely had some serious coin spent on it. I'd love some of the parts he has on the car (not the single Holley mind you). I'm actually surprised he didn't opt for a V8 as most would with such a conversion. He gives it a bit of stick in one of the videos seems to have decent bite so probably a pretty worked L-series in it. I think the quality of workmanship is quite high and I do love the Cobra myself. Its kind of a combination of 60's / 70's style fused to form a concept car. Its certainly alot better than other attempts I've seen over the years. Given that its a US 260z (RLS30) 2 seater and not a 240z I don't actually mind it being modded like this. Although usually I prefer a standard 240z as I feel there's no need to alter perfection . Administrators gav240z Posted March 23, 2008 Administrators Posted March 23, 2008 Another wild Z similar in a way. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=VEWQJbcK4R8&NR=1 Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 23, 2008 Moderators Posted March 23, 2008 Now that looks wild while still keeping the original lines of the Z! Love the flares! Quote
tbscobraZ Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 NICE but i like more the idea of keeping cobra and 260Z seperate. Yes it does say it in my name but thats the mustang cobra i was thinking of. Nice car though. Quote
sco_aus Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 I like it. Im guilty of doing the usual front spoiler, flares and im considering the BRE style wing and whilst yes it looks great, kinda good to see something different. That second Z is f**** hot and I want it. Might have to get a home loan for it though... Quote
