Thredbo '09 Super 8Mm Footage

Hey everyone - I've been a long time member of this site, but haven't been active for many years

 

I still have my Z and drive her most weekends, but haven't had a lot of spare time for Car Club activities.

 

I recently had a bunch of old super 8mm films developed and telecined, and come across two rolls that I shot at the Aus Z car meet in Thredbo in 2009.

It was the first time I'd used super 8, so I wasn't sure what the results would be like - turns out not too bad! A few underexposed shots here and there + shaky handheld - all part of the charm! It was good to see some old Z captured on "period accurate" film.

 

I can recognise a few faces - Simon, Chris and Miika from ACT. Sulio & Craig as well?

Awesome ! That was a great weekend, I think we had like 30 or so zeds.

I almost forgot about Lurches mad maroon 2+2 and the trials and tribulations of Scotts 240, Sulios 240 and Craigs beast 260.

The footage looks surreal, Im half expecting a Sasquatch or bigfoot to emerge from the scrub .
