josiah Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Hi Guys, My name is Josiah, from Sydney and recently picked up my new baby. I had been on the lookout for a suitable project car for the past 6 months or so, and picked up this 260z 2+2 along with her donor a few weeks ago. 2 x 12 hour return trips to Wagga and they're safely sitting in my garage It runs, and rust *seems* minimal at the moment. I'll see the true damage once it's fully stripped back and I start on the rust repair. The only major rust I can see is on the rear quarter panel, solid hole with some rust under the paint around it. I'm Planning on doing as much as possible myself as a learning experience. Anyway, here are a couple of photos of my possibly overambitious project! Massey, mother240 and oldmates260z 3 Quote
Brabham Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Welcome, looks like quite a good base car. Are you keeping the sunroof? Cheers Quote
Dionysus Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Good stuff, look forward to seeing the progress.. Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted March 8, 2016 Moderators Posted March 8, 2016 HI Mate Welcome, that looks like a pretty decent starting point, and a spares car to boot. You just can't beat the feeling of doing it yourself, when it is finished you will have a great sense of achievement. Really looking forward to following your progress on the build. Cheers PB Quote
AK Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Welcome - some nice journey pics - the cars look they will be a good base to work with. Quote
josiah Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Thanks for the positive feedback! I will be taking plenty of photos each step of the way. Welcome, looks like quite a good base car. Are you keeping the sunroof? Cheers Unsure about this one, will have a think about it and see how it looks once I fix up the rust body work. With my current plans I probably won't be getting it painted nicely for quite some time, so not super urgent. Quote
