Looking for a good S30 font!?

Hi Guys,

 

I got a little bored tonight so did some photoshoping on an idea I had. Anyhow I've got a pic below of what I was planning to do with the side stripes on my car but just not sure what would be the best font for the S30 shown in the pick below. Any ideas??

Jump on the torrents and download a pack of fonts. Something old skool like the Fairlady Z badge would be best.

 

I tried a while ago to find the original DATSUN font but couldn't find something close enough for my liking.

i got corel draw and some 3cds worth of fonts.(thats a lot of fonts) i did find a similar to original datsun one,the cursive one, (but i have to go throught the whole list again to find which one it is as i cannot remember the font name)

 

but in my opinion i prob use the same font as they did on the owners manual the original nissan/datsun block lettering or use the same font "2+2" , "240z" or "260z" badge for numbers and corresponding "S" from the "datsun" fender badge that way u keep in the era going.

easy to do just scan the badges you have the S from datsun badge 0 from the 240 or 260 only leaves you to find the "3". have them done in vector form and take it to your vinyl cutter to get done. if not send the file to me i can get it cut with my baby size vinyl cutter. just dont make it wider than 2.5"

 

i think the cursive would be hard to read and decifer. but do both and see what looks better on your car. and post it here for people to vote.

You could get the 3 from half an 8 in the 280Z badge.

And maybe scale up the s from the "Datsun" rear hatch badge.

I'd debadge the addon badges. ( i hate badges on cars ! ? )  Then attempt the porsche rs carrera look from the 70's. Here is a 5 min photochop job showing what i mean.

Yer I was thinking about the DASTUN thing. I've got fairldyZ badges on the car which always amuses me to see people unfamiliar with Z's to walk by and say...hmmm whats a fairlady!...so I thought I'd stay on the more "cryptic" side (sort of cryptic if your'e not into Z's anyhow) and use S30 to keep it interesting, just gotta find the right font. I'll have a plkay with the 260Z badge font next.
