Im Looking to freshen up one of my motors, has anyone had experience with the local builders ? Belconnen engine centre and Queanbeyan engine service in particular....

Or should I just go to Swm or Mia ? If, so would I need to sell my kidney to use Swm and Mia for a general street rebuild ? ;D

If I was going local (Canberra) I would start with Phillip Head Services.

They have done a bit of work for some friends all involed with motorsport and they were happy with the outcome. One of the mates is a machinist and very fussy when it comes to this sort of stuff. They also assembled a 2.7L M series 4 banger that is still getting revved very hard in an M3 rally car. They do all the machine work on site. But saying that I am sending my engine to LCR when Les is ready.

ditto on philip head services, have had several jobs done by them, always 100%

Terry at QIM in Queanbeyan is pretty good too, an old guy who has been in the game a long time.

They do full re builds but don't think they do carbie work or tuning. Not sure. Give them a ring and find out 100%
