dat2kman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Should be a flanged output, and 3 piece casing! It was when it left Qld! Quote
hmd Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 sorry 1600dave Jason is right. I mixed up the new gearbox had slipon shaft. It's a stock 72 240Z box, I had driven it at Sandown 4 hours with no issue whatsoever. I just picked up a close ratio 260Z box. Here are pics of shaft and gb Quote
dat2kman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Akkkshoolyyy,,, Its a stock Datsun Sports 2000 box, with a early Z bell and a long extension and mainshaft, to convert it to suit a S30 240Z. It really hadnt had a lot of use, when i saw it all apart last, it'd be a very good buy for someone looking for a box with better ratios than the "desirable" 260Z box! Quote
GongZ Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 dat2kman and others discussed gear ratios here; http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=7386.0 Quote

When it was converted from 2000 sports to zed, what happened with the 2000 sports bits ? I was looking at replacing the zed long extension and bell with 2000 sports bits and use in a Fairlady ! Quote
