Hi Everyone,

As I am away in Ireland the car is now due for insurance renewal. Just wondering since the car is off the road in storage if there are low rate insurance options for a car that could be classified as undergoing restoration?

While the car is relatively secure and there is very small chance of fire in the garage you can't be too sure.

Currently with GIO for $300 AU per year full comp historical insurance.

Cheers,

Gavin.

I have mine with Suncorp at $195/year as it is +30 years old. My 74 260 was a classic to them, my sons 76 model was not. His is insured with Shannons at $500/year

When i had it off the road and unregistered I could not get it insured at all. No rego numebr no insurance.

I'd agree with everyone else, Shannons laid up cover, covers you for everything but when it's under it's own power. Mt Charger costs me $70/year for $3500 as a rolling shell.
