Wanted the Z back to original colour (it was a darker blue) and was also under the impression it was 115 , however after I stripped the car and did some research with Frank at F1 Smash Repairs Bulleen (who did a superb job) we determined that the colour was 903 which is known as Dark or Universal Blue. 903 Z's came with black interior which I have .  Consider it looks slightly better than original with two pack /no lead etc - however I am biased.

Have every  intention of coming to barbeque (was interstate last year ). In the process of reupholstering seats and will post some pics of Z on completion.

Hi Tony, I just saw this topic for the first time today - your car is looking great! I have a later '307 Blue' car - and I think that 115, 903 and 307 all look very similar. I wish someone would take a photo of all 3 together one day.

I am very interested to see photos of the results of your reupholstery exercise and, hopefully, details about where you sourced the parts.

Your engine bay looks really nice - but can I ask why you didn't use black ignition leads?

I would also like to know how/why your car has 260Z-style blinkers in the sides of the front guards.

Please posts lots and lots of photos from all around/inside/under your car!   8)

Hi there

Thanks for your post

My Z is series 2 which came with the side/gaurd blinkers.

Actually have an original black set of leads minus coil connector- will eventually change over.

Regards

Tony

Hmmm - 'series 2' is a term I have seen used by some US Z-car owners - but not here in Australia.

All of the Australian 240Z's I have ever seen, from the earliest to the latest (including my September 1973 compliance plate 240Z) do not have blinkers in the front guards.

What is the chassis number and compliance date of your car? (I am assuming that it was originally delivered to Australia.)
