mr-ace-k Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Hi All My name is Dale and have been following the forum for some time now, but never joined up. I finally have, so hello. I'm a long time enthusiast and can be found either behind the wheel of my nissan S13 drift car or behind my camera lens (i shoot automotive photography as a small part time business) I'm a long time friend of Al King whom I'm sure most of you know owns a beautiful 240z and which I have also photographed. Now that I've got some spare time and $$ I'm on the look out for a beauty of my own. At this stage really looking for a 240z. I'm following a few threads on here already but if anything pops up please feel free to PM me. Hope to meet some of you at the next meet up or social event. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 17, 2015 Administrators Posted June 17, 2015 That's a nice Silver 240z, good luck. There seems to be increasing competition for what comes onto the market. So you need to "think differently" to snag a good car. Ask around, and follow up on leads for a car that "might be around" or "might be for sale" is the best advice I can give. Quote
dat2kman Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Ok. How much do you have to spend, now, on a quite mostly good car? Then how much do you intend to spend to get it better? Quite ften, it is far easier to spend more now, to buy a very good car, rather than buy a "little project" and spend 10's of thousands to finish. Quote
Retro Z Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Welcome. Thats 240UNZ. Al isn't that active on this forum. I live about 15 mins from him and he has come by several times to show me his car. I love his 240k aswell. I will foward you any local leads on 240z's i find. Also word of advice have cash ready and be quick , as they usually sell within hours rather than days or weeks. Quote
mr-ace-k Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Hi Guys thanks for the advice and comments. I'm looking at something around the 20-25k mark at this stage. I know I have to be quick I've seen how fast some of them go! Quote
rb240 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Welcome, and good luck in your search for a 240z. I've seen a few of your photos before, like this one of my sister driving at Calder. Quote
