sco_aus Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I thought since there is a few of us now, we should actually meet and I also wanted to be the first to post in this section I propose the first weekend of Feb? Maybe even the Friday night at the museum, I know a lot of the Skylines Australia guys and Gals, they are a good bunch and not young (im old at heart) tossers trying to be cool, but im definately open to ideas. Scott Ok, after much email discussion, we are meeting at the bbq area at the small bridge at the Cotter where the pub used to be at 11am this Sunday, 24th Feb. I am bringing some sausages and some other odds and ends, B.Y.O grog and any other foods you might want. It is open for any cars and enthusiasts, families and partners are welcome. Just look for a red or silver Z or a black Supra. Any inquiries, my mobile is 0421780262, or email me at sco_aus@hotmail.com Regards Scott Welsh Quote

Rhino73z Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Hi Scott, Sorry for the late reply....didn't pick up that you switched threads. Can't make Feb the 3rd....have my three year olds birthday to attend. Sunday the 10th I can make, but the following Sunday 17th is also off the list.....up to Wakefield for a trackday. Happy to meet at the cotter on the 10th. We can do the tinbinbilla loop if you like via Corin if you want a longer windy drive? Simon Quote
sco_aus Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 I will be in Tassie for the 10th, so im out for that. I am coming up with a plan for when we do do something though. It will involve a friend who is a really good photographer and maybe a bbq. I will update when I can convince him Are Saturdays out of the question for you both? Im fine with Saturdays, as long as I have that weekend off. I should be available for the weekend of 23-24th Feb? Its a fair way off, but it might give us the chance to maybe get a couple more people. I know a guy with a RB20 240, i will try and get a hold of him. Scott Quote
sco_aus Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 Ok, well Justin is happy to photograph and has some pretty cool ideas for photos since theres only a few of us and its easier (he id a shoot for Skylines Australia and it was hard cos there were so many cars). So hopefully he wont be working when we decide on a date, but first things first. Quote
chris240 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I dont think I'll be cruzing the next few weeks.. Ive got a serious water leak happening. I just replaced my water pump a few a hours ago and when I filled my radiator the timing cover sprang a leak, and I mean leak !! I could have a pinhole in my front cover........... Im waiting for a mate to bring a small telescopic mirror over, as I cant get a good look at it no matter what I do. As it turns out my water pump was fine... Ive really got the sh*ts !! aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.. Quote
sco_aus Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 Spewin. I would offer some help, but I am flat out trying to get my car ready for Tassie next week. But when I get back I should have some time. Quote

sco_aus Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 Well Sunday turned out to be perfect weather and a great day all round. We started at the Cotter BBQ area where we sank a few beers and cooked up some food and just had a good chat. Chris and Simon both showed me over their excellent examples of Z cars and I was very impressed with both. After we had eaten and Simons partner had to leave we decided to go for a spirited drive through the hills to the Corin Forrest adventure park where the pics were taken. We spent over an hour just chatting. The drive up was interesting as I had to pull over due to the Supra wanting to overheat and Chris had a few timing issues which were fixed at the top with a few small adjustments to the dizzy. We headed off from there back through the southern suburbs where we went our own ways. Thanks for a great Sunday fellas. Quote
chris240 Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 yeah great run fellas.. I really enjoyed the dash back down the mountain, I gotta put my 16" rims on, the cheese cutters started to squeel a bit. good pics Rhino. Quote
Toecutter Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Ah Cool, well you'll have to aim for three cars or more next get together! Quote
