Hi Guys,

I've got a Fairlady Z Grill for sale, it's in very good shape. The problem with these is often they get bent, or suffer from corrosion since the metal is quite thin. This appears to have been in dry storage for a number of years. It looks like it is painted the OEM silver/grey colour, but judging by the fact that the fasteners on the rear are no longer 'yellow chromate finished' it's probably been repainted once in it's life.

I could not find any obvious corrosion (usually in the corners) but I've taken as many photos as possible to give you an overall sense of it's condition.

Priced at $400 + (~$60 postage anywhere in Australia based on the last 1 I sent). Postage is high due to size. Auspost not me. If in Sydney or Melbourne may be able to offer pickup instead. Otherwise if you have a cheaper option I'm happy to send whoever your designated courier is.

minor paint scuff mark on lower edge.

Bottom bracket is a little loose, but wouldn't be an issue once buttoned up and attached to car.

Very straight not bent in any way.

Only 1 hexagonal area has a very minor bend. I'm sure if you were super careful you could bend it back straight. It was literally the only thing I could find wrong with it.

If you need any more photos let me know?

Also I believe there might be some differences in grill mounting brackets on different year 240z's and 260z's etc.. So this may require minor modifications to fit to your own car depending on year. I think there is a thread here someone that shows some differences I'll try and dig it up if I can.

For comparison you can see what this 1 goes for...

It's got holes drilled in it, corrosion, a busted grill piece and paint looks rough...

Tempting. I have been after one of these for a long time.  $300 Gav ?

Hi mate,

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to be firm on price at this stage.

Actually just noticed Chartoo listed 1 also.

Looks like it might be a little rough and has a broken mounting tab/ear but you could probably fabricate something to tack on.

Alternatively I could send it up to Brisbane with someone if they were heading in this direction to save on postage for you?

Hmmm I want this but I really should just concentrate on buying parts that make my car run and getting it registered, opposed to buying pointless crap I don't need but want.

Ie chartoo's sump. I was literally talking to Jake about buying one of these from yahoo yesterday.

Damn you Gav!

haha, I know the feeling mate. I've got something I'll share soon that was just a total splurge purchase and should have been spent on getting HS30 00150 on the road, I'm told they are not even comfortable either... So we'll see how it works out, really cost a fortune and I sorta regretted it a week or so back but I'm over it now.

It can be hard to stick to the plan..

HAHA I 100% percent agree! so far i have stockpiled a rear 240z light conversion, nardi wheel, cobra suzuka seat, jdm fender mirrors, kameari oil pump, aluminium radiator t3 control arms and the list goes on 4 grand worth of "stuff"...... none were needed and yet car is no closer to being a reliable driver:)

Sorry hijacked the thread a little will shut up now:)

Yes I'm afraid, sorry I forgot to mark as sold. It was sent to Peter saturday.

I actually had 1 other person also express interest so if I can source another in good shape I might just do that, as it seems there is demand for these.
