With regard to the plastic panel. You can undo the rear hatch strut bracket which will help you remove it without damage. Just go slowly and don't rush no matter how frustrating it is. It is not the easiest panel to get in and out of the car. Almost all of them are cracked or broken now also. So take your time.

I can't remove that bracket Gav. It's tack welded at the bolt head. Not sure whether this was done at factory or by the previous owner. I'll take a photo to show.

What a great find Boost! Great to see another 260z being cleaned up. Can you find me one like that?

There is another nut further up on the bracket , higher than the welded bolt , from memory 12mm or 14mm. Very hard to see! That's how it is on my 75 260z.

Thanks Grae. It was by chance really that I got her but I'm glad I did.

I'm trying to get my hands on a 240k GL now. I've seen it around my neighbourhood being driven by an old gentlemen. I have thought about following him until he stops and ask if he wants to sell but I chicken out every time. I think I've gathered enough balls now to approach him, at least give him my details so if he ever wants to sell to give me a yell.

use a hair dryer on the panel and get it really warm and then flex it out, bottom first - The only way to get them in and out properly!
