Hi, I am trying to track down a 240z or a 260z (2 seat) for restoration, Will consider any condition.  I live in Tasmania so one down here would be ideal but willing to truck one down (for the right price obviously)

my budget is around 5k however I can be flexible for the right one :)

Any feedback or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Gidday

You won't find much in 2 seaters for $5,000 and you are guaranteed that it will have  significant rust.

They do come up from time to time but anything half decent is sold quickly.

Thanks for the reply PB

yeah I know, but zed's don't seem to stick to any particular price range they seem to be anywhere from a few grand to 60k+

For example I just missed out on a 260z 2 seat in great condition in WA which sold for I believe 9.5k and I was chatting to a bloke called Darren not long ago and he was going to sell me his 240z for 11.8k but I was financially unable to buy it at the time but now I am I cant seem to get a hold of him.

I can go quite a bit higher than 5k but I thought I would try my luck on this website because I have seen a few pop up but like you say they are gone in a heartbeat! Fingers crossed though!

Thanks all the same though for taking time to reply.

Cheers

Goodluck trucking it over Bass Straight!!!!!

My advice is save as much as you can and get one as neat and tidy as you can afford - otherwise it'll be expensive getting it up to standard, as we can all vouch for
