how do I disassemble heater box?

Ok I've found all the threads on removing the heater box,  but once out how does it come apart? I have removed every screw and hose and undone the rod that controls the side flap on the side the screws are on but I still can't work out how to get the box open to remove the core!

There should be a panel on the drivers side that the core slides out of almost cassette like

Hmmmm, I must have missed something that I need to undo/disconnect - it's just not happening!!  Will keep at it.

There could be leaves and stuff stuck in there preventing it from sliding out.
