I'm not familiar with any online Australian Nissan parts sources that you can get an idea of what is still available. There may be some US sites. It's usually a phone call or email needed.

My point is what parts are you after? Once we know this the direction can be set. Performance parts? Stock parts, restore parts, panel parts, engine/mechanical parts? More info is required rather than just parts as different parts might come from different suppliers etc. I myself have purchased a lot of new stuff from Nissan, then there is the USA and some stuff from Japan it all depends on what you want.

Hi

If you are after stock parts then if your local Nissan dealer cannot get it in from their central parts store then I have found that AllZparts in Sydney has just about everything, phone 02 9476 0111.

My attempts to deal remotely with some of the Japanese parts suppliers ran into language difficulties, both verbal and written and then when I did get that sorted they did not take international credit cards, only japanese domestic cards. In my opinion you need a local on the ground in Japan to arrange things for  you. Unless you are after some specific performance parts then I think you will find it locally.

Cheers

Not to take this too far off topic, but do Nissan have an interchange manual so that you can see what parts from different models will fit a 240/260z ? I know the standard parts manuals are hard enough to find as it is, so maybe if an interchange manual was available, it may be an alternative.

Could anybody please provide a link to spare parts within Japan? It is mentioned a lot, but no link? Thank you

If you want Japanese domestic market parts or hard to find bits and pieces you should try Eiji at www.datsunspirit.com he can get pretty much anything when it comes to JDM gear.

Yea, I'd highly recommend Eiji (Datsun Spirit), the guys a legend.

He has contacts in japan as well which does most of the purchasing for Eiji in the U.S.

I buy from him pretty regularly since I'm restoring my Z.

Little hint when purchasing from him. If the item you want is on the website... go through the website checkout but don't pay the paypal. Ask for the invoice to be resent. He will actually do the shipping cheaper XD.

The website checkout charges $85 USD for shipping to Australia. But the private invoices i get from Eiji says $40 USD.

He also gives freebies! i have a japanese air freshner (JDM YO!) and some number plate surrounds. His products are well wrapped.

Though some products are questionable in pricing. e.g. rubber pieces that connects the seat section to the boot section for a 2 seater Z. $300 bucks ... mmm. But some products are hard to refuse. E.g. fender mirrors if your going for the JDM look. Also get some aftermarket stuff such as Armrest and Tonneu rear boot-hatch covers. Even though alot of products aren't on his website, give him an email and he'll get back to you within 24 hrs. He does an excellent job for customer satisfaction.
