andyk_79 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Hi all Introducing myself. Finally am buying my first Z! A 1972 240Z. I am a long time 240Z admirer - first remember really noticing one about 15 years ago and it has been top of my wishlist ever since. Up until now other considerations have always gotten in the way so I am a little excited to be able to say I pick it up tomorrow!! I've already reaped the benefits of being a member here. Found info on seat skins which I know I will need for the unregistered vehicle inspection as the existing seats a split to high hell. Seat skins ordered ! Also found invaluable links and references for suppliers etc. Look forward to interacting with you all. Thanks everyone for your patience with a noob and for your insights! Andy Quote
George Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Must feel great to have finally bought one. Congratulations Andy and I hope to meet you, and the car, at one of the events. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 6, 2014 Administrators Posted June 6, 2014 So what's the plans after it's registered? Quote
andyk_79 Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Plans after rego are fairly tame for now. Cosmetic stuff such as wheels, air dam, wheel arch flares. Down the track I'd like to put in an rb25 turbo or similar but that is a pipe dream for now. Quote
CroS13 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 welcome mate! great to have another member in the Sydney crew! Do post some photo's up of her Rudolf. Quote
Yo-Yo Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Hi Andy, did you end up getting your headlights sorted? I too will be looking into an engine conversion down the track, I'm fairly set on doing an L28 build but depending on availability of parts & suitable engines for this I might end up going an RB motor just due to the ease of finding parts both factory & aftermarket + I used to own R33's & R34's so I'm much more familiar working on them. If I do go RB It'll be some form of RB26/30 hybrid & keeping it NA we can compare notes in future Quote
