how much did u sell urs for? i figured they were fairly hard to come by and remember their price being discussed previously, i'll look for the thread. i was just putting it out there, i'll look into a more realistic price when they are no longer on the car...

it would be for everything that bolts up to the motor induction wise, so $500 doesn't seem that bad to me since tripples will set you back heaps more and be a pain in the ass to setup, and 260z carbs screw up on u so it doesn't leave a whole lot of other options? i'll see how they go on ebay in a few months

Well when I started having trouble with my hitachis I went looking for some, and I came up with nothing, even after asking desperately on this forum. So after having to settle with tripple delortos and an empty 18 year old pocket, I would have to say that they are worth a heftier price than that... maybe towards 800 in aus for a fully functional set, and gav is spot on for that original orange airbox, they really do affect the value.

go for the $800 evan, your first instincts are always right, and that was mine lol, i just couldn't remember it.

i could seriously use the cash, i might sell mine now that I know how much they are going for.

but, I did buy a set of 240 carbs in decent nick with manifold and everything to bolt on for about $150 about 3-4 months ago.

I think I coulda been exaggerating with that $800 just coz I couldn't find any at the time.

i could also be persuaded to sell my HID's if anyone is after a set thats basically read to bolt in, although they are low beam only (using early e46 330/m3 projectors). what i've done is hooked up driving lights to turn on using the factory headlight switch and have the hid's on a completely seperate relay and switch.  this means the 'pass button' still turns on high beam, and it prevents the hid's from being flashed on which is bad for them...once again looking for around $500+

I picked up 240 carbs, manifold, and stock air cleaner on ebay for $150 about a year ago and they were ready to go.(And still are)

yeah i guess they are cheap when there is some around, but when things dry up, everyone raises their prices.

PMSL I could only find my imperial guage set and couldn't be fluffed looking for the metris one, although by now the numbers are probably no longer visible anyway haha.
