Whittie Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hi Folks, Well my car is going to spend some time outside at my place next week and I'd rather it wasn't visible, or exposed to the elements (or the dog!!), so I'm looking for a decent car cover. I've had generic ones in the past and they were OK for what they were, but this time I'd rather have something fitted and one that won't scratch the paint. Lots of websites claim to sell 240/260 covers, but none show photos of one on a zed so I suspect they're generic. Prices also range from $50-500 so there seems to be plenty of chances to choose the wrong one! If anyone has one they'd recommend I'd love to hear from you. Also, the sooner I can get a hold of it, the better. Quote

zedevan Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I have a Tyvek cover, however the fit is horrible as its generic so there's way too much material infront of the windscreen! The only thing bad i have to say about the material is it collects too much dirt on the outside. Quote

Since sometimes they do more harm than good. Perhaps ask a good detailer what they recommend in terms of brands and quality / materials and then work from there to see if they offer a bespoke fit or might be interested in catering to S30Z customers by using your car as a template? I looked around locally and couldn't find anything and I already had this one (I didn't know that I did, but there you go) so I will take a longer term view and try to get a nice fitted one and hopefully not break the bank Quote

I have to use sheets to protect the paint, but then it's not water resistant. I will give Repco another shot tho and see if they have anything of better quality that I could stitch down, that's a good suggestion. Quote

Called Duststop. They have many outdoor ones. The cover is cut and stitched to suit the car in Australia, Seven Hills NSW. The cover fits my car perfectly. Couldn't be happier. Billy, with regards to the fitting of yours, will it cover a bobtail wing and big front spoiler or is it a super tight fit for a standard car? Quote
WA240Z Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Hi Whittie, I have quite a deep front airdam on my lime car and the cover fits over it witout issue. I just checked for a rear spoiler it should be fine as well, there is enough loosness in the cover. Quote
