EVIL_denver Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 hey guys, I have a set of 4.11's from my old r31 import lying around and was thinking while i get the diff rebuilt should i use them? i currently have 3.364. Would this be suitable for daily driving / spirited driving paired with a close ratio 260z 5speed and 15inch rims with 225 / 50 profile? My diff guy says they will be too short if the box is a close ratio box. Anyone have experience with 4.11's?? Maybe a better alternative?? I will be running a fresh L26 with usual head / cam / carb / exhaust mods. Quote

dat2kman Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 2660z close ratio box isnt a race type close ratio. First gear is 2.9:1 Mated to a 4.111:1 diff it wont be an issue. Go for it, it'll liven the car up. Engine at 100kmh road sped will be a few hundred rpm higher. Quote
