Hi guys

Has anyone got a rear disk upgrade and front vented disk upgrade (preferably nissan 4 pot). I need something suitable for getting the car engineered with an RB25DET

In Sydney if possible

Thanks

I've got a rebuilt set of Toyota Hilux calipers and I'll be in Sydney just after xmas if that helps.

Just got word back from an engineer that the brakes need to be at least as big as the donor car. That means i'll need something that is at least 296mm and 4 pot.

What a load of rubbish. I engineered my zed with a cleveland and the only thing they had to do was pass a brake fade test. Just goes to show how these "engineers" vary from state to state. They should all be working off the national code which can be downloaded. If i were you i would check out the arizona zed car gear as it may not be much more than building your own setup.

Yep, after over 50 silvias I need a change. Trying to get reg before Christmas, probs won't make it

This forum is pretty good, like snsw, few old cranky farts that know stuff, you'd fit right in

Yes, a number of old cranky farts, who invented drifting, 40 years ago!

Almost every set of traffic lights on King Georges rd through Punchbowl and Lakemba, had a certain 2400cc Dato 1600 proceeding through them, not facing the correct direction of travel, quite often!

:o    Good one Jason, can't believe DC30Y hasn't hooked into him about vowels being absent. Oh well.

there is a fair few R31 rear brake setups on ebay. You still have to modify them to suit but looking at the forums it doesn't look to hard. I have my set here just haven't modified them.

Anyway who has some R31 rear brakes for me?

I actually wrote the tutorial and i have a spare set of brackets here. I have to modify a set for Tai soon so i could do two sets at the same time if that suits you.

Have you found a different engineer because R33 rears are huge, larger diameter rotor than the front and two piston caliper, much larger than r31 I would suspect.  Having said that, the r31 rear should be more than adequate unless you are going endurance racing.  Don't drifters disconnect the rear hydraulic brakes anyway and just use the hand brake for a little weight transfer?  :D
