be-zed Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I need some help. I have never been much of computer games buff. But of recent I have set up a media room in the home and fulfilled the boyhood dream of the ideal sound system coupled with a 70”TV.Sometime ago I also obtained a logitech Momo wheel for the PC which is now part of the media system. As I can see myself not being able to get to the track much in the future. I was wondering what PC games may be out there that have Australian tracks in them and possibly have Z,s as part of their lineup. Can anyone help as my boy is of the opinion it is not a real computer game if nothing is blown up, killed or gunned down. Quote
neRok Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Pretty sure GranTurismo5 had a 240z in it - but its PS3 only. Need For Speed World has a 240z in it too. Its actually a free game and entirely online play, but certain cars you have to buy (pretty sure 240z falls in this bucket). The 240z is actually one of the better cars in its class, and hardly no one uses it online (coz its not new and ricer), and when modded up with turbo and suspension etc, it dominates. Quote
Stivva Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Get a ps3 to pair with your tv. GT5 Wangan Mignight Midnight club Need for speed the run Need for speed shift need for speed shift 2 all have the s30 in them. Quote

53-681 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 PC: Need for Speed World. It's got a fair few vintage sports vehicles including the 240ZG (Unfortunately it's the only S30 available), KGPC10 GT-R Skyline, Audi Quattro 20V. My username's Yando if you want to race :-) Quote

Six_Shooter Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Hey don't forget Froza Motorsport on XBoX has a zed in it as well (i think number II) Forza 2 and 3, as well as Forza Horizon all have Z432 in them. I don't believe there is any PC port for it though. Quote

be-zed Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Great advice from everyone on Zed's in video games . I do have an old PS2 which was abandoned by the kids as they moved on to online games and only PC games. Perhaps start with that and I do remember seeing in NEED FOR SPEED round here somewhere. Jason ,don't tease me . You know my back ground in engineering and that I just might build that thing.Probably kill me by throwing me into the TV. I did look at R Factor when I was editor for the ZCCQ and found Lakeside QLD and they may have one of Morgan Park by now also . They have a clip of Dick doing a talk around the track . But I can not get the sample game to work. view Factor R preview But I would like to see other Aussie tracks . I believe EB Games have one with QLD Raceway in it , but no Z's. One with Road Atlanta or Lime rock would be good also .I have some footage of Newman in a S30 and S130 on both tracks and that would be as close as I would get to being able to get around them. Quote
be-zed Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 I think this is the link to the preview of fACTOR R with Dick in his XE falcon Quote
dat2kman Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 To do Bathurst, You need a two story house, with a big hole cut into upper level floor, and your seat mounted high speed stepper motor frame, needs a high speed hydraulic lift, For that true vertical up and down sensation? On the PS2, the game Grand Tourismo had some very interesting classics. Race, win, spend, race win, spend more, so on and so on! Quote
