I am looking at buying this Quilted Vinyl to cover cover my transmission tunnel. The quantity needed per tunnel with spare (sold at yards) is two yards, plus postage per sale, is $100 person. However, the more we buy, the more we can split up postage.

Two people buying is $70 including postage per person, three people it is $60 per person.

So, anyone need new trans tunnel fabric?

I know that it is not correct, this is reminiscent of the vinyl Rev had in his Orange zed a few years back. Its padded and will update and refine the look. Similar to this:

Ok, now that I've seen it, I definitely don't like it. :/

I'm amazed but I prefer the original pressed vinyl. :o

I do like those seats though. Maybe it's just too much plush diamond for me...

Sorry, but FWIW it just doesn't look quite right; too plush & comfortable, the original S30 interior is quite Spartan & looks more sports orientated with minimal creature comforts all part of the look of the day.

Do they do a fabric that is flatter with less raised padding?

Id be keen if they can make it in a tan colour. If so i'd buy 2x quantity so i can do my roof skin aswell.

They only make white an black. The one I am looking at purchasing is not as plush as the image above in Revs old car. It doesnt have th3 double stitching. But if its not your thing all cool.

Have you checked if any local upholsterers can do it cheaper?

I'm sure they could as its simple enough.

I can't find a local supplier :(, and I don't need the labour, just the fabric, I can cut it to shape myself.

I would be interested in something more like the OEM pattern, I was looking at Yahoo! Japan for original vinyl - even in rough shape, as my car was redone in carpet and I hate it. However getting the right shape out of donor material would be a concern of mine.

If you do give it a go though, all the best with it.

It might be worth a try to email Khalid and ask if he can supply just the material and/or made up items.

One member has stated he sent over rear 2+2 seats and they were used as a pattern to make new one.

He is a fabulous guy to deal with.

Hey fellas. I bought the entire interior 240Z kit from MSA....the trim is a pretty good approximation of the original trim, although the rear strut tower trims are cut a bit too small in my view...tricky to get the trim stretched properly to make sure the adjoining plastic trim covers it properly. The tunnel trim was a good fit though...you just have to put the cuts and holes in it yourself where things have to fit through.

Cheers
