Hi guys I'm trying to get someone to certify a rb25 swap I've done into my 240.

I was thinking about using boneville consulting in Melbourne.

Has anyone used them for an engine swap or have anyone else they can recommend.

I'm hoping I can install coil overs, Fmic, adjustable camber (weld in) plates etc.

but starting to think I may leave these things till after certificate and rego.

You may as well engineer all of it, or none of it.

There is no point engineering the motor swap then voiding it by not engineering the coilovers and other bits.

First step would be to call the engineering place and have a quick chat with them.

If they seem to be good and your happy with them, book in some time to go and have a proper sitdown to discuss what you want to do on the car and what they require to pass it, you might have to pay them $20-30 for their time, but in the grand scheme, thats nothing.

Thanks mate

If I can have it all inc I will if someone pulls out the old "you'll need to have those welds xrayed" I'll only be getting the engine swap and brakes done.

So did you know anyone ?

do it once, do it right. Its also handy to get stuff like rear discs, seats and harnesses done at the same time

I did an RB swap in my 240z along with a bunch of other mods incl brakes and power steering. Talk to Paul Bottomley at Roaring Forties... He is a registered VASS agent. He is a good guy...very experienced and practical. If you do it properly engineering is no problem.

Cheers

I'm going to suggest that you ask opinions from people who have actually been through the process. Otherwise you end up with many horror stories from a mate's, mate's grandmother. Purple monkey dishwasher!

just a heads up, you wont need a certificate for your coil overs if they are bolt in or your front mount cooler, just your engine and camber plates as they are classed as a major modification.

Last time I did this, worked with the engineer from the outset and had no drama's at all.

Just my two cents....
